Can you believe it's less than a week until Thanksgiving? What are you doing that is going to make this day special?
The last few posts I've talked about the importance of having a consistent practice of mindfulness and being present. How is your practice going?
I too have been practicing! I wouldn't ask you to do something I'm not willing to do! Honestly, some days are fairly easy, but many days it's a challenge, especially now with the upcoming holiday season.
For me, this season is bittersweet. I lost my Father this past spring and my husband's Mother this summer. It will be a strange time of navigating the "new normal," whatever that is. I'm sure many of you can relate.
However, it helps so much to have the practice of:
Gratitude, - Trusting that God works ALL things for good.
Mindfulness - Taking our thoughts captive and staying present.
Meditation/Prayer - Renewing our minds and Being Still with God.
